First all-electric Acura: ZDX & ZDX Type S

Acura's first all-electric vehicle, which will wear the resurrected ZDX nameplate, includes a 500-hp Type S model, the most powerful Acura SUV ever. With room for five, the 2024 Acura ZDX high-performance SUV features dynamic styling, top-class technology, and comprehensive charging solutions.

Pricing will start at $64,500 for the very well-equipped ZDX A-Spec with a 340-hp single-motor (rear-wheel-drive) powertrain (ZDX A-Spec is also available with a more powerful dual-motor, all-wheel drive configuration). The performance-tuned ZDX Type S will come with a 500-hp dual-motor AWD powertrain and has a starting MSRP of $73,500. The SUV is a partnership between Honda (owner of Acura) and GM, and it will use GM's EV architecture and battery platform, featuring a low center of gravity and near 50/50 weight distribution.

ZDX Type S enhances every element of the performance driving experience significantly, including acceleration, braking, and turning -- all without compromising comfort, refinement, or daily drivability. This model boasts a height-adjustable air suspension, performance-tuned adaptive dampers, and massive 15.6-in. Brembo front brakes with six-piston yellow calipers. Drivers can customize the driving experience with multiple drive modes, including a Sport mode for maximum acceleration and response.

The ZDX's multi-link front and rear suspension delivers a premium driving experience with exhilarating performance and class-leading refinement. The athletic stance and proportions of ZDX are augmented in the Type S model by 22-in. machine-finished wheels, the largest ever for an Acura model, and wider 275/40ZR22 self-sealing tires. Available high-performance summer tires, packaged with a gloss-black wheel, further increase the Type S variant's performance capabilities.

ZDX A-Spec has a total 325-mile range on a full charge; Type S has 288 miles. Recharging on the go should be quick and convenient with DC Fast Charging at rates up to 190 kW. With DC Fast Charging, the 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack in the ZDX A-Spec rear-wheel drive is designed to net an estimated 81 miles of range in approximately 10 min. to get customers back on their journey.

Acura provides ZDX clients with comprehensive charging solutions both at home and on the road, including access to America's largest public fast-charging networks, Tesla Supercharger stations, as well as EVgo and Electrify America (plus their roaming partners). ZDX is equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) port and is compatible with the North American Charging Standard (NACS).

Upon the purchase or lease of a new Acura ZDX or ZDX Type S, customers can select one of three charging packages included in the MSRP. Acura offers a combination of public charging credits, charging equipment, and installation credit to fit each buyer's lifestyle.

Inside ZDX, the driver-oriented cockpit features high-end materials, premium features, and expansive and intuitive technologies, including Acura's first integration of Google built-in. ZDX boasts a combined 22 in. of high-def digital screen real estate with a standard Precision Cockpit Driver Information Cluster (11 in.) and Center Information Screen (11.3 in.) with an intuitive touchscreen interface and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Through ZDX's Google built-in system, Google Maps can be displayed on either screen, and it can estimate the charging time required to reach the destination and initiate preconditioning of the EV battery when the destination is a DC Fast charging station.

ZDX is also the first Acura model to feature the immersive, luxury audio experience of Bang & Olufsen, which is standard on all ZDX models and includes 18 speakers.

ZDX comes standard with AcuraWatch, a suite of safety and driver assistive technologies, including Acura's first applications of Rear Cross Traffic Braking and Blind Zone Steering Assist. With the new AcuraWatch 360+ system, ZDX Type S introduces Hands Free Cruise driver assistance tech to the Acura lineup, enabling true hands-free driving on up to 400,000 miles of compatible roads. ZDX Type S' AcuraWatch 360+ also features the first Automatic Parking Assist system in an Acura, which helps take the stress out of parallel parking.
